Tour time: About 4 hours (effort easy) – 8 years minimum, The Steingiessen is an eco-responsible tour
The Steingiessen is a tour including a unique biodiversity. Crystal-clear water, centuries-old trees, blue dragonflies, a huge variety of birds and waterlilies – participants will be enchanted as from the first paddle strokes. But this unique biodiversity contrasts with the litter which gets stuck between the branches of the weeping willows.
If you too are concerned about this, join the efforts by Strasbourg Eaux-Vives with this tour, and contribute to preserving this privileged space close to our town as clean as possible.
After having started at our club, you paddle down the Ill river up to the place called „Fuchs am Buckel“. As from there, you turn right into the „Steingiessen“, which meanders through the natural reserve of the Robertsau. This is also where your eco-responsible action starts, by picking up bottles and other plastic litter which get stucks between the branches of the trees hanging into the water. Strasbourg Eaux-Vives is counting on you to help keeping this unique place clean.
Rubbish bags will be provided by us. Please bring your own gloves.
